Office could be a nice place to go everyday if you really love your work. But sometimes you should realize that, office is one of battle fields in your life. A battle field which push you to make many efforts in order to survive, especially in a big company. If you have survived, you will get what you should earn such as higher salary or maybe a promotion in your career. Well, there are several ways to be a survivor. What are they? Let’s find out…
Focus in your basic skill
If you now work in a big or multi-national company, of course there is a clear job description for all the employers. It will be different from a small company which maximize its employers’ work to do many job. Therefore you don’t have to do many jobs out of your responsibility in order to be seen as a dilligent worker. If you do that, maybe you may pass your exactly job and it will harm for your career. You better focus on what you have to do everyday with maximal performance. Your boss will easily see your progress.
Being a sociable person
You should widen your link in the office, especially with employers from other division. This will make improve a progress in your career, because if many employers have known you, then it will be easy to know your existence and ability. Maybe one day you can get a promotion based on their recommendation.
Improve your skill
You can improve your skill by following many training courses. For example, following a foreign language course. When the company management has known that you also can speak in other foreign language, there is no possible if sometimes they give you a duty to work abroad.
Be Punctual
You will make a bad reputation if you always late in a meeting or when finishing a job especially if it connects to other division of your company. Don’t make everyone waiting for you. You are wasting their time.
Stay in the company’s rules
Yup, your company has many employers, but it doesn’t mean that you lost from the rules and punishment. So, never try to be a violator, it will harm your career. Keep your track record clean.
Always learn
You will never make any progress if you never learn. You have to learn from everything. It can be from mistakes and other’s performance. Never shy to ask someone or maybe your boss if you meet any trouble.
