Trip to Mallorca, Spain

9,021 Views POSTED ON August 5th, 2007

Mallorca is an Island off the coast of Spain. This place is beautiful and tropical. Just what we needed. With its sun-swept beaches, towering mountain ranges, and picturesque valleys, you can get a glimpse of the Island’s diverse landscapes. However, it is not just about the stunning vistas and glowing beaches. You’ll also find such a rich history of the Island. There are many Islamic artifacts, which continue to astound archeologists and visitors alike.

The Island is separated into “comarcas”, or known as counties or districts, which outline the Island into six different legislative areas. Each comarca brings its own local flavor and attraction for visitors and provides an easy way to navigate throughout the Island. The comarcas are Palma, Sierra de Tramontana, Raiguer, Pla de Mallorca, Migjorn and Llevant. One thing you should know is Claudia Schiffer and Michael Douglas have a villa or secret place to spend their vacation. Isn’t it fantastic?

I absolutely adore Mallorca, in fact I love all the Spanish islands. I’m going myself to Tenerife in a few weeks and hopefully to Mallorca some time in spring next year.

You’re post has made me that little bit more excited about it all!
